Valentine's Day 2022
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!! It's is the day of love so I thought I'd swing by for a few minutes to show my blog a little bit of love today!
While I love celebrating holidays, Valentine's Day usually isn't a huge deal for us. Eliot and I aren't doing much out of our usual routine today. He's got work and when he gets home we'll be working on getting a few more orders finished to mail out tomorrow.
While we have gone out for dinner on Valentine's Day before, waiting in long lines for dinner isn't really our idea of a good time. We'd much rather go out another night that won't be as busy. Plus, this year we'll be able to celebrate and spend some quality time together at Disneyland! (Only 15 more days!!!)
I had big plans to make heart shaped pizzas, chocolate covered strawberries and other special treats. I had also wanted to send Valentine's Day cards and make a Valentine themed craft. But with all of the time I've spent covering at the chiropractic office, and with our California trip creeping up on us... I just haven't found the time. It's not a huge deal, but I am a little bit disappointed. I guess there's always next year!

I am hoping to do something fun today though. I'll probably take a break this afternoon to watch a movie on one of our streaming services. I'm sure I can find some sort of romantic comedy or something that will put me in a Valentine's Day mood!
Tonight, Eliot and I have a date to watch the San Jose Sharks first game back from the All Star break. The past few years I've sent Eliot a Sharks Valentine's "card" digitally on Facebook so this year he got one of our All Star Timo Meier! It will be another low-key night, but I'm perfectly content to stay home watching our boys play hockey!
No matter how lame our day probably sounds, it sounds perfect to me! I'm sure it will be a great day! I hope also you have a wonderful day filled with love!!!
Happy Valentine's Day!!! °o°

Magical Merchandise: Valentine's Day Outfits
It's the last day of January, and that's got me looking ahead to next month. When I think of February, the first thing I always think of is Valentine's Day. Love, reds, pinks, purples, hearts and little conversation heart candies immediately fill my mind.

I used to dress up for Valentine's Day all the time in high school and college. Pink is one of my favorite colors, so it's not really a huge jump for me. Lately, I haven't gotten into it as much. However, I have wanted to start dressing up for it more, so I've picked up a few pieces the past few years. I was really excited when I saw a new Disney Valentine's Day collection by Hot Topic and Her Universe released a few days ago.

This Minnie Strawberry Dress is absolutely adorable. I'm already picturing myself wearing this while running around the strawberry fields picking berries this summer!
These Mickey Cherry Overalls are really cute too. I have a Mickey cherry handbag that I've had for years... and it would look really cute with these!
This Minnie Polka Dot Shirt is giving me Valentine's Day Cruella de Vil vibes.
This Mickey and Minnie Shirt is cute... but it doesn't scream Valentines day to me.
They also made a few items that match each other. First there's this cute Winnie the Pooh Mini Backpack with Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet.
Then, this Winnie the Pooh Tank Top matches the backpack. Super cute!!!
I've also seen this adorable Mickey and Minnie Mini Backpack online. I thought it was cute but I didn't think that I needed it... until I saw the final item in this post.
I'm ending my post with my other favorite item from the collection. I really love this Mickey and Minnie Skirtall. I've bought a lot of these lately, and they're really cute. I love how this one has the little heart buttons! It also matches the backpack! This design is fun, a little flirty and perfect for Valentine's Day!
I think these outfits and accessories are super sweet, and not just because a lot of them have strawberries and cherries all over them! These pieces are sure to add a little bit of magic to your February. Plus, they're all perfect for Valentine's Day! °o°

Valentine's Day 2021
Happy Valentine's Day!!! I hope you had a day filled with love and friendship!
Eliot and I have had a quiet weekend at home. We didn't have any big plans (surprise, surprise) considering the ongoing pandemic so we decided to spend time at home relaxing. Originally, I had hoped that we'd make some headway with house projects, but it became pretty clear that Eliot needed a weekend to rest. (He fell asleep in the chair a few times while watching television.)
Yesterday, we didn't do too much. We stayed up late on the phone Friday night with Eliot's youngest sister Elissa. (Last week, she decided to start a blog so we were on the phone with her helping to set up her website.) We also wanted to be the first to wish her a Happy Birthday since her birthday was Saturday. After sleeping in, Eliot and I spent most of the day watching television. The Sharks had a 4:00 afternoon game so that took up the bulk of our evening. Then, we watched a few Hallmark movies while the Christmas tree was lit in a festive red, pink and white.
Today, we got a little bit more done. We had a Zoom call with Eliot's family. Then, we cooked breakfast and enjoyed that while watching a Hallmark movie. Then, we got a few things cleaned up around the house. Eliot worked on mouse ears while I finished the pieces for our sample for our Valentine's Day social media photo (shown above).
As for the Valentine's Day holiday, we didn't do too much to celebrate this year. Eliot and I usually wait to go out to dinner because everyone goes out to restaurants on Valentine's Day. Plus, our dating anniversary is 2 weeks from now, so we tend to go out between Valentine's Day and the 28th instead. I wanted to be more excited about Valentine's Day since I love holidays, but I think I'm suffering from pandemic fatigue and I didn't feel like doing much. Pajamas and watching tv together sounded perfect.
However, we still had a wonderful day. Eliot bought me a box of milk chocolates with Olaf on the cover. I also have strawberries, marshmallows and bananas to make chocolate covered treats with sometime this week. I also got green apples and still have plenty of caramel left over from my experiment last month. It turned out well so I'll probably make myself candy apple slices again in addition to the other treats!
All in all, I think spending a quiet weekend of relaxation at home was just what the doctor ordered. I feel rested and refreshed so I can tackle the rest of this week! °o°

A Simple Valentine's Day
Eliot and I don't have any big plans today. He's busy with an important project at work, so it'll probably be a late night for him. Meanwhile, I'm at home working on customer orders and mouse ear samples for our trip in a few days! I think Eliot is going to bring home some take out from Applebee's for us to enjoy when he finally gets home.
We didn't really discuss getting each other gifts, but I got him a really cute Disney card a few weeks ago that I'll give him later. Apparently, he got me something during our All-Star Vacation, because he wouldn't let me unpack his carry-on until he grabbed my gift from it. I'm really intrigued because it could be something from Walt Disney World, or it could be something from NHL All-Star Weekend. I'm so excited to see what it is!
It'll be a late night as the Sharks have a home game against the reigning Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals. When we played the Capitals during our trip to WDW, Eliot and I huddled over his phone to watch when it went into overtime. (Most of the game took place while we were watching Fantasmic.) The Sharks won and I'm pretty sure our entire Friendship Boat wondered why on earth we started cheering. (Which also reminds me that we went to Epcot for a little bit after seeing Fantasmic. I totally missed that in my recap.) The game tonight doesn't start until 10:30 pm, and probably won't be over until about 2 am, but I can't think of a better way to spend Valentine's Day then relaxing at home together and cheering on our boys!

Happy Valentine's Day
Eliot and I don't have any big plans this year. Last year, we went all out celebrating Valentine's Day by going to two Disney on Ice shows in less than 24 hours. It was definitely awesome, but it was also a little bit crazy for one weekend.
As I mentioned yesterday, Eliot and I are spending a quiet weekend at our house. The temperature is below zero and with the wind chill it feels even colder. We're planning to spend most of the day working on some more projects around the house. Maybe we'll take a break later in the day to watch a movie and relax!
Valentine's Day may be low key this year, but it's still been good to us. My parents got us a card, a big box of Hershey's miniatures, and a gift card to Chili's! Eliot and I love Chili's so we'll definitely have to go out to dinner sometime! Eliot's parents got us a box of chocolates and some conversation hearts... yum!!!
This year, Eliot and I didn't plan on getting anything for each other. However, that flew out the window because I found the perfect gift. We'd spotted Olaf-Snowgie pajama pants at JCPenney before Christmas. At the time, our local store and the JCP website were both out of our sizes. The other day, I happened to spot them online when I was ordering something else! They were in stock in our sizes and on sale! (Yay!!!) The couple that wears matching Disney pjs together, stays together.
I also got some Disney Princess shoe chocolates. We'd found them in Target a few weeks ago, and we bought them figuring they'd sell out quickly. They're really cute!
Eliot also got me a Disney Valentine's Day card! I love it! He's the best!!!
It's going to be a great Valentine's Day! I hope you have a fantastic day as well! °o°
