Fun Find: San Jose Sharks Pixar Night

Hello again everyone and happy Friday!!!  (Two posts in one week... who dis?)  I just couldn't help myself, I had to pop in again quickly.  I haven't done a Fun Find Friday post in forever... but I had something that I couldn't help but share with you all.

This past Sunday Night, two of our worlds collided when the San Jose Sharks had an official "Pixar Night" during their home game against the Colorado Avalanche!

Naturally, you're all probably assuming that we went to it... but sadly we didn't.  Eliot and I both really wish we could have gone out to San Jose for it, but with my big birthday trip coming up, it wasn't in the cards.  However, because of how much we both love Disney, Pixar and the San Jose Sharks, I still wanted to share the details with you!

You're probably wondering why the Sharks had a Pixar Night.  (To my knowledge, the Sharks are the only NHL team hosting one.)  It appears that the evening was officially sponsored by Disney and Pixar as an Inside Out 2 Promotional event to coincide with the release of the movie on Disney+.  Since hockey plays such an integral roll in Riley's world, it seems fitting that they chose an NHL game to host this promotion!

Photo Source: San Jose Sharks Newsletter Email

As if all that wasn't already cool enough, one of Eliot's and my all time favorite Disney artists, Jerrod Maruyama, created all of the artwork and marketing for the evening!

For most of the marketing, they used an Inside Out Pixar poster with the nine emotions.  But if you look closely, you'll also notice a re-design of Sharkie!

Note: As soon as I saw the Sharks email about Pixar Night, I remember thinking that the artwork style looked familiar... I think my intuition had put two and two together that it was designed by Jerrod but my cognitive thoughts hadn't gotten there quite yet.

Jerrod even dropped the puck for the ceremonial puck toss before the game!

They also created Sharkie Pins with his artwork.  Apparently, the lines to get the pin were ridiculously long, but Eliot's parents were able to get us one!

I also have to share a fun fact about why I think it was appropriate that the Sharks were the NHL team who hosted the event.  Our very own Sharks announcer, Randy Hahn, has made a cameo in both Inside Out and Inside Out 2 as a hockey announcer!  In addition to that, Kendall Coyne Schofield (a professional women's hockey player who plays for Team USA) is also in Inside Out 2 as a hockey announcer and she has worked on the Sharks network along with Randy!  How cool is that?!?!

Throughout the evening, I enjoyed hearing Pixar music on the broadcast.  We obviously didn't get the full game experience, so I missed whatever they did during commercial breaks or intermission, but it was fun to hear it sprinkled in during short stoppages in play.  I caught three definite Pixar songs, Un Poco Loco (from Coco), You've Got a Friend in Me (from Toy Story), and Nobody Like U (from Turning Red).

After the event was over, Eliot and I noticed Sharkie had posted more images of himself as all of the emotions!  (I didn't think this night could get any cooler... but it did.)

It looks like it was a really fun night!  Hopefully, this will be the first of many official Pixar Nights at the Shark Tank!  Eliot and I would love to attend one!  °o°

Fun Find: Making Wonder YouTube Series

Happy Friday Everyone!

How is is already Friday?  I feel like this week just started and here we are at the end of it.  I wasn't planning to swing by today, but I found a few videos that intrigued me; once I watched them, I knew that I had to share them with you for Fun Find Friday!

The Disney YouTube channel is doing a new series called "Making Wonder" as part of the Disney 100 Celebration.  A few days ago, they debuted this teaser introducing the new series.  The series will be exclusive to the Disney YouTube channel, and it will feature incredible Lego builds and collaborations with different creators.

The first video in the series just dropped and it features Disney Princess inspired go karts made with Legos!  Let me just tell you, my jaw dropped at how awesome this entire video was!  I love this and can't wait for more videos in the series!!!

I am completely obsessed with the go karts, as well as the outfits and the matching helmets!  I want one!  I would totally race down our road with one of these!

And these videos are only the beginning.  If the trailer is any indicator, there is a lot more magic in store for us.  I can't wait to see what else they come up with!!!  °o°

Fun Find: Super Nintendo World Videos

It's Super Mario Day!!!  Each year, fans of Mario and Luigi celebrate the popular video game on March 10th... MAR 10... MAR10... MARIO... get it?

Since today also happens to be a Friday, I thought the best way to celebrate was to share a few videos from the newly opened Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood!  It just opened back on February 17th, so it's not even a month old yet!

I know that I usually post Disney parks related news, but as you know I have been trying to branch out a bit.  And I think this new section of the park deserves to be celebrated.  Just like the Harry Potter sections of Universal parks, this new land is top notch.  It looks like you're walking through the actual video game.  Universal has really brought a lot to the table lately, and the Harry Potter and Nintendo portions of their parks feel very Disney in essence.  (Disney definitely needs to keep up!)

The most talked about part of the new section seems to be the Mario Kart dark ride.  I should start off by saying that I love Mario Kart.  I'm not really a video game person, but I've been known to get my go cart on occasionally.  Jeremy, Eliot and I love to play it together, and Eliot and I have also played it a a few times with Sara and Elissa.  I might not be very good at it, but it's still a lot of fun.   (And I do occasionally win!)

So when I heard about this ride, I had to know more about it.  I'm always so hesitant with Universal rides because there are so many I can't go on.  The video below shows a great comparison of the ride with and without the glasses.  I think it looks great without the glasses... and from that point of view, I might be able to ride it.  The images that the glasses create are amazing, but I'm afraid it might be too much for me.  I get motion sickness on rides pretty easily... so I'm not sure how I'd fare on this.  But it looks absolutely amazing!  It's like Test Track and Runaway Railroad had a Nintendo baby!

This entire addition looks incredible.  I'm so glad it's coming to Florida soon too!  I can't wait to go and take photos like I'm actually in the game.  I'm also going to have to try one of those burgers with the cute little hats.  And the MagicBand like wrist bands also look like a lot of fun.  I'm sure that I'll have a blast whether I can go on the rides or not.

Plus, I know that Eliot and Jeremy would absolutely freak out seeing this!  The three of us used to brainstorm ideas for a Nintendo theme park years ago.  We used to talk about making a "Rainbow Road" ride... so it's cool to see it as a reality now!  We will definitely have to go together to see this someday!  Happy Super Mario Day!!!  °o°

Fun Find: 2023 Flower and Garden Festival

This week has felt a bit gloomy and depressing, so today I'm trying to lift my sour mood.  Thankfully, the 2023 Flower and Garden Festival started on Wednesday, and I'm hoping some bright cheerful flowers will brighten my spirits!

I thought today was the perfect opportunity for a Fun Find Friday, and I've got a bunch of different things to share about this year's colorful event!

Every year, my favorite part of the Flower and Garden Festival is seeing all of the Disney characters as topiaries.  Through the years, Disney has continued to push the boundaries when creating these.  They've gone from faceless figures to full-blown greenery recreations of their animated counterparts!  And each year, they make a few new designs to join the festival, like this Tiana topiary that is debuting this year!

I was SO excited when I found out that they also created four new designs of members of the Madrigal family from Encanto!  Now, you can see Mirabel, Luisa, Isabella, and Antonio at the entrance of Epcot.  And these topiaries are spectacular.  Here is a behind-the-scenes video showcasing these new additions!

Another tradition they keep continuing are the seasonal foods found throughout the World Showcase.  This is always one of my favorite things to do at the events.  Eliot is not a big foodie, but I like to try out a few items at each of the festivals we go to.  And "Frushi" and Violet Lemonade are my Flower and Garden Festival favorites!  Here are a few treats from the event this year!  It all looks so good!

Disney also continues to utilize "magic shot" additions throughout the park at their Photopass locations.  They have a bunch of fun things to take pictures with.  My favorites are the Tinker Bell wings and Orange Bird!  Although, the butterflies and Isabella are also fun and definitely fit the flower and garden theme!

The coolest Photopass location has to be the Tiny World Magic Shot.  (We didn't do this and I'm still kicking myself for it.)  It's a cool photo and they add a seasonal border!

Finally, we can't have a special event without some fun merchandise!  This year, the festival markets will be filled with a selection of items from four different collections: Orange Bird, Snow White, Figment, and Annual Passholder.  The Orange Bird design is very 70's groovy retro.  The Figment collection features a succulent and garden theme.  Snow White focuses on flowers and her forest friends.  And the Annual Passholder collection has exclusive items from all three.

And that's a quick overview of the 2023 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival.  I don't think Eliot and I will be able to make it down for the event this year, but I would love to see all of those topiaries in person!  Hopefully, we'll see them at some point!  °o°

Fun Find: Disney 100 Disneyland Show Videos

Friends, it's Friday and we have almost made it to the weekend!  Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day so I thought I'd post a few fun videos that I found.  I originally wanted to write about these last week, but it seemed like I should wait another week to "be kind" and give everyone a chance to seek these out for themselves first.  (Plus, I really wanted to write about the Disney Fairy Tale Wedding Fashion Show last week!)

Photo Sources: Top and Bottom

But today, I figured it was time to be kind and share these!  It's been two weeks since the Disney 100 celebration started at Disneyland.  I was so excited to see the two new nighttime shows.  The shows are one of my favorite parts of a day at Disney, and these new shows at Disneyland were on my must see list.  Eliot and I aren't sure if we'll be able to see them in person, so I made it a priority to watch them on YouTube.

Last weekend, we tucked in and watched these while we were enjoying our breakfast brunch.  We're able to watch YouTube on our television thanks to our Roku, and I've been watching more of it now that we're able to see it on the big screen.  Both new nighttime shows were marvelous, and I definitely shed a few tears.

First, we watched Wondrous Journeys- the new fireworks show at Disneyland.  These aren't the exact videos we watched... but I wanted to find some where you'd see all of the details.  This is a fantastic few of Sleeping Beauty Castle and all of the projections!

The other new show to celebrate Disney 100 at the Disneyland Resort is World of Color: ONE.  This show is over at California Adventure.  This first video shows you a great view of the overall show without tons of heads and cell phones in the way!

This second video of World of Color: ONE shows more of the projection details from a view on the other side of the water.  If you haven't been to California Adventure before, the viewing area of the show and water is quite expansive... so you have a different experience depending on where you are standing each time!

I thought these new shows are wonderful.  I'm glad that they included so many of the animated films for Wondrous Journeys.  (All of Disney's animated films are supposed to be represented in the show... but I haven't found them all yet!)  I also love how they included Star Wars and Marvel in World of Color: ONE.  It feels very appropriate to showcase those franchises as well since they're part of the Disney family too.. it's usually Disney and Pixar getting all the love.  I'm also a big fan of them including more of the recent movies!  Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love me some 90's Disney films and their incredible music, but I also love Moana and Encanto.

I hope you enjoyed these fun videos!  I think these shows are spectacular and I hope Eliot and I are able to see them in person sometime!  °o°

Fun Find: Disney Fairy Tale Weddings 2023 Fashion Show

Happy Fri-Yay!!!  And today is a big yay indeed.  This morning, Disney Fairy Tale Weddings had their annual Bridal Collection Fashion Show and it was live-streamed on YouTube.  I wasn't able to watch the live earlier, but I have watched the video and the collection is stunning.  As a Disney Bride who wore a licensed Disney wedding gown, seeing all of the new princess gown designs are always a highlight for me!

Today, Disney Fairy Tale Weddings and Allure Bridals debuted 21 new wedding gowns inspired by Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Tiana and Rapunzel.  (I think that's also the order they had the girls walk down the runway if you want to skip ahead to see a particular princess.)

The backdrop of the fashion show was the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle at the Disneyland Resort.  She looked extra spectacular as the castle is currently decorated for the Disney100 celebration.  The lights and florals at the end of the runway also made the show magical and added an elegant touch.

I was excited to see a few familiar faces.  I've followed Courtney Quinn on Instagram for a while now.  She was also accompanied by fellow content creators Karlie Place, Toni Bravo, Allison Bickerstaff and Janette Ok to host and model some of the gowns.

And for the first time ever, they debuted a bridesmaid collection!  At the end of the show, four girls came out in the new Aurora inspired gowns in pink and blue.  We only saw these, but they will be making bridesmaid gowns for all nine fo the princesses.

My favorite part of the fashion show was that they showcased girls of all sizes, shapes and colors.  I've always thought that inclusion matters.  For me, it was nice to see some girls with more curves in the show.  I was never very hung up with my weight or appearance when I tried on wedding gowns, but I've heard horror stories from some brides about trying to fit into the few gown sizes bridal boutiques have.  It's good to know that they thought of women of all sizes when they designed this collection!

I love all of the new gowns and I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite.  My gown didn't have lace details, but I'm totally loving those.  (The Snow White and Cinderella gowns stick out in my mind.)  I'm still a big fan of the poofy princess-y skirts too.  I don't need another wedding gown anytime soon.  But Eliot and I have talked about having a vow renewal someday... I'll definitely be keeping these gorgeous gowns in mind!  °o°

Fun Find: 2023 New Year's Eve at the Magic Kingdom Videos

Happy Fri-Yay!!!  There's nothing better than a Friday... especially when you are spending it at Walt Disney World!  Eliot and I are wrapping up the first full week of our fabulous 15 day Disney adventure.  In fact, by the time this is posting, we should also have just wrapped up our 10K (6.2 mile) race around Epcot and the World Showcase!

I thought I'd pop in with a quick post about one of my favorite parts of our trip so far... New Year's Eve.  Celebrating "NYE" at Walt Disney World is the best.  My favorite NYE memories have pretty much been at Disney.  There's something magical about it!

Naturally, the best part of the entire evening is the fireworks at midnight!  Eliot and I didn't have the greatest view for them, but I was able to find a few videos over on YouTube of people who had a much more central location than we did.  I thought that I'd share them with you today so you can see what we experienced live!

I did tape a little bit of the fireworks from our view, but these are so much better.  Plus, I knew there would be so many other bloggers and people recording the show.  I really wanted to be in the moment and enjoy it.  I even got my midnight kiss from Eliot!

The funniest part is that while we were there, I was so enamored with the view of Cinderella Castle, the soundtrack, the countdown projected on the castle and the fireworks... that I didn't even realize they were shooting off the 360° fireworks around the Magic Kingdom!  It wasn't until I heard someone else in line talking about it that I even knew they'd gone off!  Those are always a favorite and incredible to see!

It certainly was a spectacular show, and I'm so glad that Eliot and I were both able to witness it in person.  We haven't been back at Walt Disney World for New Year's Eve since Eliot's first trip there, during our Mylen Family Reunion in 2009.  Eliot and I flew down a few days earlier than everyone else because I really wanted to be there for NYE.  We did the entire thing... hats, matching 2009 sweatshirts and blow horns.  But we haven't been able to get back for New Years since then.  I hope we're able to go back for another New Year's Eve at the Magic Kingdom much sooner this time around!

I hope you had a magical New Year's Eve and that you enjoy these videos!  °o°

Christmas Eve 2022

Happy Christmas Eve!!!

As this is posting, Eliot and I are finally driving up to my parents' house to celebrate Christmas this weekend.  It's been a busy week trying to finish and wrap up the rest of our outstanding Etsy orders.  Then, we had another storm yesterday which postponed our drive north.  But we're finally on our way and I am so thankful for a few days away from our house to relax and spend some quality time with my family... especially after the past few weeks since we last saw them.  This year, I'm most grateful that we're all home and safe together... and that's the greatest gift of all.

I'm not sure exactly what we'll be up to this weekend, but Eliot and I will be in Trenton until sometime Monday afternoon since both Eliot and Jeremy have the day off this year.  I am hoping it involves lots of sitting around talking, decorating cookies, playing games, watching Celtics basketball, watching Christmas movies and relaxing.  But before we dive into our festive fun, I thought I'd leave you with another fun find.  Since yesterday's find was for Hanukkah, today I'm sharing a Christmas ambiance video with images from around all of the theme parks at Walt Disney World!

This is the perfect video to play in the background while you're enjoying festivities with your family!  The music is great and the photos are absolutely stunning!  I know this was definitely something I've enjoyed having on earlier this week while I was working on things!  Plus, it helped get me in the mood for our trip to Walt Disney World!  (Ten days from now this will be Eliot's and my view!  I'm so excited!!!)

I hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with lots of family, friends, love, laughter and good cheer... and may you be smiling from ear to ear!!!

Merry Christmas!!!  °o°

Fun Find: Puppy for Hanukkah Video

Happy Hanukkah and Happy Friday friends!!!  The nights keep passing and the lights keep glowing.  Today, I thought I'd share another fun music video post for my Fun Find Friday.  I went through a DIY wreath video phase earlier this month and now it appears that I'm on a rap music video kick... but I digress.  Let's just roll (the dreidel) with it!

I want to start by saying that it's not always that easy to find fun Hanukkah music.  Eliot and I have a humungous list of Christmas favorites, but Hanukkah songs are harder to come by.  When I first found out about this song, and the accompanying music video, I was so excited!  It debuted two years ago and features Daveed Diggs.  If you're a fan of Hamilton, you'll recognize him as Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson.

Of course, at the time I had just been introduced to Hamilton a few months earlier, so I absolutely had to watch the music video for the new Hanukkah song.  At first, I was a little bit disappointed that Daveed wasn't in it, but then I realized it made more sense to show kids since the song was geared towards them.  Plus, it was great to see people of color and different ethnicities being portrayed as Jewish.

The song and video is definitely geared towards kids, but Eliot and I listen to it every once in a while.  (And it's so catchy that I usually get it stuck in my head afterwards.)  I actually played it earlier this week on the first night of Hanukkah when I gave Eliot his Hanukkah present that I bought both of us- matching Mickey Mouse Hanukkah shirts!

I hope you enjoyed this little nugget of a fun find.  I'm sorry for getting it stuck in your head now.  But you have to agree that it was worth it because the puppy is so cute!

HappHanukkah!!!  °o°

Fun Find: "Holiday Sweater" San Jose Sharks 2014 Holiday Video

Happy National Ugly Sweater Day!!!  Today, there was literally only one thing I wanted to post for Fun Find Friday... and it's a classic that I watch every holiday season.

Every year, the San Jose Sharks come out with some sort of holiday video.  They have done some really fun and creative ones in the past.  Over the pandemic, they weren't able to go all out like they usually do, so this became my go to.  For the past 8 years, it's become a seasonal joke and source of joy for Sharks fans.

Every time I watch this video, I get a good chuckle.  I also find myself singing "Holiday Sweater" for days afterwards.  (I may or may not be singing it to myself right now...)

The best part is that the guys also seemed to get a kick out of it.  They all really committed to the video.  (Our guys like to have a good time.)  Even though I watch the video each year, I just discovered this reaction video recently.  And I've gotta say, I almost love it more than the actual video.  It's fun to see all of their reactions when they watched the video together while on their private plane during a road trip.

Earlier this month, I made Eliot rematch both of these videos when I made a joke about a "Holiday Sweater" and he didn't get the reference.  I literally stopped everything and we watched both videos on Youtube.  Eliot did remember the original video, but it had been a while.  Plus, he hadn't seen the reaction video either.  (We had a good laugh.)

Who knows what the Sharks will have up their sleeves for their 2022 holiday video... but I know one thing for sure, I've gotta get a San Jose Sharks holiday sweater...  °o°

Fun Find: DIY Finding Dory Holiday Wreath Video

Happy Friday Friends!!!  Confession: I'm kind of on a wreath kick.  Last week, it was the It's A Small World Wreath video that I shared.  Today, it's another one... but in my defense, I found these videos a few months ago when I was playing on Youtube.  I knew I wanted to share them once it was finally the holiday season... so here we are!

Today, we're taking a look at how to make this a-DORY-able wreath!

Eliot and I love Finding Nemo and Finding Dory.  The movies also hold a special place in my heart because we had our wedding reception at the Living Seas Salon in Epcot which is also the home of The Seas with Nemo and Friends!

As soon as I saw this video, I knew that I wanted to save it so I could make us a wreath for our house!  Our guest bathroom is eventually going to be Finding Nemo and Dory themed so this would be the perfect way to great guests during the holiday sea-son!

I hope you enjoyed this DIY video too!  Merry fish-mas!!!  °o°

Fun Find: DIY "It's a Small World" Wreath Video

Happy Friday!  Today I'm sharing a quick little video on a DIY It's a Small World wreath!

It's a Small World is one of Eliot's and my favorite attractions at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland.  I'm also completely obsessed with the ride's gorgeous holiday overlay that they do at the Disneyland Resort time of year.  (Eliot's actually never seen it, but it's definitely on our to do list so he can!)  This video reminds me a lot of it too!

I first saw this video from a few years ago and I've always loved how they made this wreath!  I wish that Disney Family do more of these DIY videos like they used to years ago... but I'm definitely happy with the few I've found.  It's also giving me ideas of how to make my own Small World wreath for our house!

I hope you enjoyed this quick little video!  Happy Holidays everyone!!!  °o°

Fun Find: Mickey- The Story of a Mouse Trailer Video

94 years ago, Steamboat Willie premiered and with it came the screen debut of our favorite mouse.  In recent years, the Walt Disney company has declared November 18th "Mickey's Birthday" and has celebrated the day in various ways.  Today, they released a new documentary exclusively on Disney+ that tells the story of Mickey.

I honestly didn't even realize this was being released until I popped into our Disney+ account this morning to find something to watch while I was eating my breakfast.  I took a peek at the new releases knowing that Disenchanted came out today... then I saw the link for the Mickey documentary.  I had to know more so I found this trailer.

Eliot and I have learned a lot about Mickey and how he came to be.  There's a great exhibit about Mickey at the Walt Disney Family museum and we really enjoyed delving into the story of how Walt created him.  I love Disney's documentaries and I think this is the perfect way to celebrate Mickey's birthday today!  I'm not sure what time Eliot will finally be home from work, but I've found what we're watching tonight before bed!

If you're looking for something to watch this weekend, you can find Mickey: The Story of a Mouse now streaming over on Disney+.  I hope you enjoy this fun find!

HappBirthdaMickey!!! (and Minnie!!!)  °o°

Fun Find: U.S. Thunderbirds Magic Kingdom Flyover Video 2022

Happy Friday Friends!  Today is Veterans Day so I thought that I'd pop in for a quick visit in honor of the holiday.  Ever since I wrote my latest Disney news post, I've been wanting to post a video and today seemed like the perfect day to do it!

As I told you, a few weeks ago, the Magic Kingdom kicked off of National Veterans and Military Families Month with a special event of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds air team performing a flyover demonstration soaring 500 feet over Cinderella Castle and Main Street USA.  That day, I saw a few videos of it online and it looked amazing.

Today, I wanted to share this video with you.  It has a great story about one of the pilots and how he grew up going to Walt Disney World.  That must have been an incredible experience for him.  I'm sure it was a spectacular thing to experience in person!  Just check out how cool it is to see them flying over Cinderella Castle!

I'm thankful for all of our veterans.  We're the home of the free, because of the brave.

Thank you for your service.  °o°

Fun Find: “The Gift” Final Video in “From Our Family To Yours” Series

It's ok... I suppose that I needed a good cry this afternoon...

I certainly wasn't prepared for this.  I literally popped over to Youtube thinking I was going to share a video of the updated Fantasmic show Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios.  Then, I saw a link to a new video from the Disney Parks Youtube page and I had to stop everything and watch it.  There was another one.

For the past three years, I've been captivated by the From Our Family to Yours video shorts Disney has released each holiday season.  It started out with the little girl and her grandmother with the Mickey Mouse plush.  That video was the most emotional for me.  After all that 2020 threw at us, it hit me right in the feels and I sobbed watching it.

Next, came last year's version where the little girl from the first one was now a mother herself and getting remarried.  Her two children and their new step-dad are adjusting to becoming a blended family and starting new holiday traditions together.

Finally, with this year's final installment of the series, it takes place little bit later than the last video, and the family is now welcoming another new addition to the family.

This video holds the same magic as the last two, and I think it's beautiful to see how the family's story has played out over the past three years.  I get emotional seeing all of the Disney toys and ornaments because it reminds me of my own family's traditions and the memories that we hold through certain ornaments and decorations.

I also thought it was cool that the new song, "A Little More," is performed by Jessica Darrow- who voiced Luisa in Encanto.  Finally, like the other two videos in the series, this one is to help others during the holiday season.  This video sponsors Toys for Tots and you can learn how you can help donate a toy here

No matter how old I get, the magic of Disney will always bring me back to my own childhood and experiencing it all for the first time.  Thank you to the Disney creative teams for capturing this feeling so perfectly through this series of videos.  °o°

Fun Find: Haunted Mansion Music & Ambiance Video

Halloween is only 10 days away and the spooks and spirits are gathering for what is sure to be a frightfully good time.  Today, I wanted to pop in with a quick fun find video that will help make your Halloween an extra spooky one!

You guys know how much a I love a good ambiance video.  Today, I wanted to share one that will transform your living room into your own Haunted Mansion.  This video features audio that will send hot and cold running chills up your spine.  The visual is of the Magic Kingdom version of our favorite ghostly retreat.  It's lit up special for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party so it looks extra frightening!

This video contains two whole hours of Haunted Mansion music.  You'll recognize the tunes from the attraction, as well as the Haunted Mansion live action movie from 2003 with Eddie Murphy.  I think this is the perfect thing to have playing in the background and I'm also a big fan of our beloved mansion being lit up in teal and purple lighting.

I hope you enjoy this video!  Have a happy and haunted weekend!!!  °o°

Fun Find: DIY Disneyland Main Street Mickey Pumpkin Video

Happy Friday Friends!  Today is an extra special day for us because Eliot and I are in San Jose so we can attend the Sharks season opener tonight!  And since we're out of town, I have scheduled a Fun Find Friday post to share with you all today!

I first saw this video a few years ago when Disney Family originally shared it online.  I absolutely love the giant Mickey pumpkin at the end of Main Street in Disneyland.  This felt like the perfect time to share this video since we were just there to visit it in person!

I absolutely love this video on how to make your own version at home!  I am definitely going to have to make one at some point.  It probably won't be this year since Eliot and I have been really busy, but it's on my radar!  Isn't he cute?

I hope you enjoyed this cute little video!  Have a wonderful weekend everyone!  °o°

Fun Find: 2022 D23 Expo Announcements

It's been a week since the 2022 D23 Expo came back to Anaheim after a three year hiatus.  The D23 Expo is always an exciting weekend filled with Disney fans, fun, panels, merchandise, surprises and announcements about upcoming projects.  This year was no different.  In particular, Eliot and I were both looking forward to all of the announcements about the Disney Parks and upcoming attractions!

There was so much information released over the weekend.  I thought it would be easiest to recap the news from the event with a few videos!  Day One of the expo was pretty quiet on the news front, with the only big panel being the Walt Disney Animation and Pixar event showcasing the new movies coming over the next few years.

Day Two had a little bit more information with the Marvel panel in the morning and a special panel for everything coming to Disney+ in the afternoon.

Day Three had the announcements everyone was waiting to hear about what new shows, attractions, and more are coming to Disney Parks around the world.  Here is a really short recap video of the day and the overall event.

The Disney Parks news is always my favorite part of the D23 Expo.  I did a little bit of research and this video was a great overview of everything that was announced!

Wow!  I am so excited about all of the Frozen, Tangled and Zootopia things coming to the parks all over the world!  I also think that the concept artwork for Tiana's Bayou Adventure looks incredible!  I think it's going to be stunning lit up at nighttime!  I know the concept artwork for Moana (at Animal Kingdom) and Encanto (at Magic Kingdom) are only Blue Sky ideas right now... but I really hope they eventually add them to the parks.  I absolutely love both of those movies too!

As you can see, the 2022 D23 Expo was full of surprises and announcements!  What are you most looking forward to coming to the parks?  °o°
