Magical Merchandise: Joey Chou Disney Parks Collection

Happy Monday Everyone!  I hope that you had a wonderful holiday weekend.  Eliot and I had a great long weekend and really enjoyed ourselves down in Boston!

Today, we're taking a peek at a new collection that just dropped this morning over on Shop Disney.  Some of these items started showing up at the parks over the past week, but it was all released online earlier today at 3:00 AM.  Eliot and I didn't stay up for the drop, but I was anxious to check everything out this morning!

You might recall that Disney released the Jerrod Maruyama Home Collection last year around this same time.  At the time, the collaboration of a full product collection with one of their Disney artists was a newer concept.  You can imagine how excited I was when I discovered that they had done it again... this time with artist Joey Chou!

Joey has a completed different style than Jerrod, and I love this about art.  Eliot and I are fans of both artists.  I loved how Jerrod's designs were more cute and cartoony in nature.  Joey's designs are similar in that they're park characters, attractions and icons, but the style of the characters is totally different.  And I love the colors he chose!

The other big difference is that this isn't just a home collection.  The Joey Chou Disney Parks Collection has items for the kitchen, but it also has clothing and accessories!

So before I keep gushing about it, let's just dive in and check everything out!

We're starting off small with this adorable little Disney Parks Pin.

There's also a Mickey and Minnie Fantasyland Pin.

If you're into puzzles, this Disney Parks Puzzle looks like a fun challenge!

Now we're switching gears to the kitchen stuff.  I really love this Disney Parks Drinkware Set and how it features different park attractions!

The Disney Parks Pitcher is perfect to fill your cups with some magic!

The Disney Parks Melamine Bowl Set matches the cups perfectly!

There's also a Disney Parks Melamine Plate Set.  I think these would be perfect for serving plates as well as decorative plates for the wall.  (Thinking gears are turning...)

I would really love using this Disney Parks Mug as a way to start off the day!

And you can use all of these dishes when you have a picnic using the Disney Parks Picnic Blanket!  This blanket looks warm and the turquoise blue nylon side would be perfect to keep you dry if the ground is a little bit damp.  It even has a little bag!

If you'd rather use your picnic blanket to cuddle up and lounge around on the couch, you can do it in these matching Disney Parks Adult Sleep Pants.

The Disney Parks T-Shirt for Kids has a really cute design on it.  I wish it was also available in adult sizes!

I love this Disney Parks Dress for Girls.  (I'm having little girl dress envy again.)

There's also a cute Disney Parks Polo Shirt for Kids that I'm sure Eliot would love in his size... especially since it has Space Mountain and Stitch on it!

The Disney Parks Pullover Sweatshirt for Kids is really cute with the train graphics.

I am obsessed with this Disney Parks Denim Jacket for Adults.  I must get one!

I'm also 100% in love with the Disney Parks Spirit Jerseys.  I love the colors, the style of the characters and placement, and it has glittery white text!!!  Love!

The Disney Parks Woven Shirt for Men is really cute and is perfect for Eliot.

I also like the Disney Parks Reversible Bucket Hat!  Check out both sides!

Naturally, there is a Disney Parks Ear Headband in the collection.

And of course there's a Disney Parks Loungefly Backpack!  It's love at first sight!!!

The Disney Parks Dooney and Burke Satchel is a gorgeous purple with icons on it.

There's also a matching Disney Parks Dooney and Burke Wallet.

Finally, I've saved the best for last yet again.  The first thing that hinted at the collection was the Disney Parks Dooney and Burke Tote bag on display in a store about a week or so ago.  (I saw someone post a photo in one of my Facebook groups.)  It was very well received and it's already sold out online, but it should still be available in the parks!

What do you think?  I am 100% in love with pretty much all of it.  Hopefully things will stick around so Eliot and I will be able to grab them once we get our tax refund!  I've got my eye on all of the kitchen stuff as well as the jacket, Loungefly Bag, bucket hat, Spirit Jersey and the button down for Eliot!  I just wish they had also made a matching dress for women.  However, Joey Chou himself posted a link to the collection and he did say that more was to come.... so, a girl can hope!!!  °o°

Magical Merchandise: 2022 Hot Topic & Her Universe Disney Halloween

Candy corn heaven.  I am in Disney candy corn heaven!!!  And the universe knows it.

Last Friday, I randomly woke up around 6 am and couldn't fall back asleep.  After a few attempts and failing, I took it as a sign that I should be awake.  I started playing around on my phone while laying in bed and that's when I came across it... a post from my Disney Dress Shop group about Her Universe having the candy corn dress online.

I won't deny it; I've been low-key stalking Hot Topic's website and all of my favorite Disney merchandise Instagrammers for weeks now... ever since I first heard of the new candy corn dress and sweaters existence.  Eliot and I even went to our local Hot Topic a few weeks ago.  (They had the sweater, but not in my size.)  They had originally said it would be online "mid-August" but since that came and went... I've been afraid that I'd miss it.  My biggest fear was that everything would pop up while we were in California and I'd totally miss it.  And those fears weren't completely unfounded... last year's Disney candy corn sweater sold out in mere hours in the middle of the night.

I immediately popped out of bed, got dressed and crept downstairs.  (Eliot was sound asleep and I didn't want to wake him.)  I got on my laptop and went to check the HU website.  Not only did Her Universe have the dress, but there it was, the entire 2022 Disney Halloween collection!  The next thing I noticed was two candy corn sweaters...

I immediately jumped over to Hot Topic (their sister site) and the Halloween collection was available there as well.  I put the candy corn dress and sweater in my cart and checked out right away.  I tend to purchase from Hot Topic over Her Universe because I get free shipping from them, and I also earn points to get rewards.

After the rush of relief and excitement over getting the items when they were in stock and barely anyone knew they were even online, there was no way I was falling back asleep... but it was worth it!  Sometimes it pays to randomly wake up early and the universe definitely had this Disney and candy corn lover's back!

Now that I've had a few days to come down off of my candy corn shopping high, I wanted to share the 2022 Disney Halloween collection with you!

Let's start with one of the Our Universe products.  This Mickey Mouse Mummy Hoodie comes in unisex sizing so men and women can wear it.  I love the tie dye look!

This Stitch Devil Raglan T-Shirt is another cute option... especially if you love Stitch!

I thought this Winnie the Pooh Sweatshirt was really cute!  I wish it had Eeyore though!

This is another unisex Our Universe product for both men and women.  I think Eliot would love this Mickey Halloween Button Up Shirt!

I didn't buy this yet, but I think this Bat Wing Collar Button Up Shirt is really cute too!  I love the bat wing collar and the Mickey and Minnie embroidery on it!

The Disney Halloween Shortalls were the surprise item in the collection.  These are completely sold out on both Her Universe and Hot Topic... except for a few plus sizes.

Now, we're getting to my favorites!  Here's the Mickey and Minnie Mouse Candy Corn Collared Dress.  I absolutely love the candy corn colored skirt on it!

Here's a close up of the embroidered details on the collar.  Isn't this adorable?!?!

Here's the 2022 version of the Mickey Candy Corn Stripe Hooded Cardigan. This year, they added really cute pumpkin buttons down the front.  The embroidery designs on the sleeve are also a little bit different from last year's design.  There's cute Mickey pumpkin on the front.  And this year, there's a hood that has mouse ears!

Finally, the "other" sweater that I saw on Her Universe's website is a HU exclusive, that's why Hot Topic didn't have it.  It's very similar to last year's design.  In fact, I think it's the exact same patches on the sleeves, the only difference is that it has a black stripe added to the candy corn pattern instead of just being orange, yellow and white.

Aren't all of these items adorable?!?  Obviously, I'm a sucker for all of the candy corn stuff, but I think the rest of the collection is cute as well.  I hope Her Universe continues to keep their Disney holiday collections coming!  I'm definitely 100% hooked!

I hope you enjoyed this sweet post!  Have a wonderful week friends!!!  °o°

Magical Merchandise: Retro Rewind

Happy Monday!  Today, I wanted to do a special edition of my Magical Merchandise Monday posts in honor of Dapper Day.  I thought this was the perfect opportunity since the unofficial event was this past weekend (on the 23rd & 24th) at Disneyland, and it's coming up next weekend (on the 30th & 1st) at Walt Disney World!  So let's dive in!

Over the past few weeks, two of my favorite retail shops have released retro themed Disney clothing collections and I wanted to share them with you!  They're so fun!!!

The first new merchandise that jumped out at me was the Disney Retro collection from Torrid.  They have slowly been adding items over the past few months.

One of the first items released in the collection was the Disney Villains Sweetheart Tie Front Dress.  I'm not really into the Villains and their evil ways, but I love the style of this dress.  The blue details at the chest and waist really pop too!

This Lilo & Stitch Swing Halter Dress was cute... but I didn't absolutely need it.

I also like this Alice in Wonderland Cheshire Cat Dress.  I'm also not really into Alice in Wonderland stuff... but I love the colors of the Cheshire Cat and the cut of this dress.  If it goes on sale... I might have to get one.

I'm obsessed with all things Tangled and this V-Neck Romper jumped out at me.  I've never actually worn a romper so I'm a little hesitant about it, but I might try one out!

The Minnie Mouse Tie Front Romper also intrigued me.  I love the red tie detail at the chest, and the built in yellow belt look at the waist.  Also, it's not easy to find stuff in Minnie's retro colored outfit.  This might have to be another thing in my wardrobe that I get out of my comfort zone in order to wear!

I love this Retro Mickey Mouse Bathing Suit!  They literally released this last week in what I'm assuming is the last wave of retro merchandise.

Last week, they also released two pairs of shoes that I wasn't expecting!  If you like the Cheshire Cat dress or the Villains dress, these shoes match them perfectly!

My favorite piece from the Torrid Disney Retro Collection is the Pixar Up Shirred Bust Skater Dress.  I love Up and I knew that I had to get this as soon as I saw it.  It was actually released on our first day in California, and I was thrilled that I was still able to order it once I got home from CA.  (This was part of my Torrid order where I used my rewards from Torrid and my Discover card so my order ended up being completely free!  I also got a St. Patrick's Day Mickey shirt.)  It arrived about two weeks later and I tried it on and it fit perfectly.  I love my new dress!  It's so fun and colorful!

The second Disney Retro Collection is another collaboration with Her Universe and Hot Topic.  The items were available on both websites and they proved to be very popular; I'm hoping this means that they'll make more collections with styles like this!

The first item from the collection was the Little Mermaid Dress.  I like how the top of the dress looks like Ariel's sea shell bra top.  The pattern at the bottom is cute too!

The other dress in the collection is the Lotso Bear Dress.  While Lotso is technically a villain, he's also really cute!  I love this cute patterned dress!

I also fell for this Steamboat Willie Vest.  It's unisex, and I'm tempted to get one for both me and Eliot.  I'd love a more fitted one to wear with a black undershirt.  Then, Eliot could also have one to wear and match me in the next outfit in the collection...

Guys... there's more Steamboat Willie stuff!  I love this button down shirt.  This is fitted for women, but I'm tempted to size up to get one for Eliot too.  It's so cute!

My absolute favorite piece from this collection was the Steamboat Willie Suspender Skirt.  This was the most popular item in the collection and it sold out pretty quickly on both sites.  Luckily for me, I was paying attention and I nabbed one of the last ones in my size from Hot Topic before it sold out.  My skirt arrived in the mail earlier this month and I love it so much!!!  The little buttons have anchors on them and it's perfect.  I'm dying to wear it on our next Disney Cruise!  It would be perfect for it!

And there you have it!  Aren't these new styles perfect for Dapper Day?  I hope Torrid and Her Universe make more retro clothing!  These outfits are also the perfect way to bring a little bit of magical retro style to your everyday wardrobe!  °o°
