New Product Alert: Tangled Desk Collection

Hello Friends!  I hope you're having a wonderful week.  I've had a crazy few weeks, but I wanted to stop in really quick to post about Eliot's new desk set that we just released a few days ago over in his Snowblade Creations shop!

It's been a few weeks since we first debuted our Spaceship Earth Desk Sets.  We've gotten rave reviews from friends, family and customers.  Eliot and I have been absolutely floored by the response.  Since then, we've been working on a few sets behind the scenes and this week we finally added all of our Tangled designs!!!

First, we have the Tangled Sun Business Card Holder.  This has actually been in the shop since January, but we finally made it in gold- it pops much more than the purple!

Next, we have the Tangled Sun Pen and Pencil Holder.  I've actually had this sample sitting on my countertop for months.  I wanted one to hold my make up brushes and we decided to wait to post it until it had some friends in the shop.

The most recent addition is our Tangled I See the Light Sticky Note Holder.  I didn't want the entire collection to be the sun, so we added this.  (We'll have a few more things for the collection in the coming months... but we're sticking to these for now.)

We also have the Tangled Sun Jewelry and Storage Box.  I love these little boxes; they're great for paper clips, but they're even more perfect for storing jewelry.  I'll probably end up with 10 different designs on my vanity before this is all said and done.

Finally, we're debuting a completely new product.  This is a Succulent Pot and Storage Tray.  I had Eliot design this for me months ago along with the Pen Holder.  (It's also been sitting on the counter for months waiting for friends.)  I really wanted a Succulent Pot for small plants, but it can also be used to store jewelry, paper clips, etc.  I think I'm going to get some small faux pink and purple succulents to put in mine.  Then, the colors of the plants will remind me of Rapunzel's dress.

Eliot and I are both really excited about how this set came out and the response to it so far... and we're still only getting started.  We've got at least two more desk sets that will debuting in the upcoming weeks.  We've also been working on a few stand alone items.  I've already added a few of those to the shop, but I'll be sure to write a post over here once I finish a few more samples of them!  Stay tuned!  °o°

Fun Find: Magical Quarantine Memes (Part 12)

Happy Friday!  Another week has come and gone so that means it's time for more of my Magical Quarantine Memes!  Here's the quick backstory about this series: I've seen a lot of funny memes on Facebook while scrolling through my newsfeed.  These past few months have been rough on all of us, so I started to save the memes that made me laugh.  Then, I decided to share them here to bring a bit of joy to everyone.  If you haven't been following along, you can still catch up on my other posts: Part 1Part 2Part 3Part 4Part 5Part 6 , Part 7Part 8, Part 9, Part 10 and Part 11.  Enjoy!

I gotta say... Universal is looking pretty good right now.  *Sigh...*

I wanna be, outside of this house...

Still the current motto...

With all the new coronavirus cases in Florida this week, this is probably accurate.

I wish it was this easy.  I volunteer as tribute!!!

I've still seen a few more of these this week.

Still missing Disney...

School is almost over!!!  It already is for some kids... about time huh?

My inner extrovert is starting to get very tired of this.

Heh... there are some things I don't miss about Disney and Florida.

This made me laugh out loud but it's also super creepy.  Here come the nightmares.

I never thought I'd say this... but I even miss the lines.

Is anyone else going through food like crazy?  Just me?

This meme pretty much sums it up.... less than a month!

Finally, I've stuck with my tradition of saving a song for last.  Look at this stuff.  Isn't it neat?  My TP collection is never complete!

I hope you liked this batch of magical memes.  I still have some more so Part 13 of my Magical Quarantine Memes series will be coming next Friday!  In the meantime, take care of yourselves and enjoy your weekend!!!  °o°

Please Note: I did not make any of these memes and I don't claim ownership of the photos or the jokes.  Most of them I've seen uncredited on Facebook from other people who have shared them.  I just wanted to put them all in one spot so we might try to find some humor in a dark time when we could use a smile.

Eliot's Birthday

Happy Birthday to my other half!!!  Today is Eliot's 32nd birthday!!!  I've been looking forward to celebrating his birthday, but it looks like things will be much more low-key.

In the past, we've been at Disneyland for Eliot's birthday twice.  He shares a birthday with Donald Duck so that's always fun.  Back in 2016, we were able to get a picture of him and Donald with their matching birthday buttons.  That was a fun photo op!

Unfortunately, this year we don't have any big plans.  Eliot's at work right now.  He's planning to come home earlier than usual so we can work on finishing up a few mouse ear orders.  I suggested that he bring home pizza from Amato's, so we might do that for dinner.  We'll probably hang out and watch a few Hallmark movies... nothing major.

Hopefully, in the next few weeks we can go out and do something special.  Things are slowly starting to open up here in Maine.  I'm still a little nervous to go out, but I'm sure we can find things that are relatively safe to do.  (We're thinking Old Orchard Beach Pier Fries and sitting on the beach.)  I'm starting to feel a little like a caged animal, so I'm definitely in need of getting out- and celebrating his birthday is the perfect reason!

Plus, I'm glad that I'm actually home for Eliot's birthday this year.  Last year, I was still down in Nashville with Elissa and he was home in Maine.  (Although, I'm sure he very much enjoyed having the house to himself and playing video games all day.)  Still, I'm glad that we're able to be together for it this year.

Of course, it's not a birthday unless there's cake!  Thankfully, I have one last packet of cake in a mug from my half birthday mini celebration that I've saved for tonight.  I actually bought a Funfetti cake mix back in March thinking that I'd make it for Eliot's birthday but I don't have any frosting.  (I knew I forgot something!)  I haven't left the house in more than two weeks, and it's not much of a surprise if I ask him to buy some frosting before he comes home.  Maybe I'll make it for him sometime next week.

Even though we're still limited with what we can do due to COVID-19, I'm happy that we get to celebrate his birthday together.  That's what's most important!

Happy Birthday babe!  I hope you have a magical day!  I love you!!!  °o°

Fun Find: Magical Quarantine Memes (Part 11)

Today, I'm sharing another special round of Magical Quarantine Memes!  Here are more of the Disney windows like I shared last week!  I saw these from tons of people on Facebook so I did a little research prior to last week's post.  The original artist is Kelly Osterman LaFrance.  She's posted photos of a new window almost everyday since March 25th. She's appropriately dubbed the photos her "Disney Quaran-Themed Windows".  I love them so much that I had to share more of them!

If you haven't been following along, you can find my other Magical Quarantine Meme posts: Part 1Part 2Part 3Part 4Part 5Part 6 , Part 7Part 8, Part 9 and Part 10.

Hahaha... I love this.  Finally, a new song to sing!!!

I've got these gloves on me!!!

Another song... I love Disney music.  Who knew it could be appropriate right now?

A month late... but posting it anyways.  May the 4th (and Force) Be With Us.

Anna, I get it.  Who else has been talking to themselves more than usual...?

Disinfectant on you, Disinfectant on your family, Disinfectant on your cow!!!

Stormtroopers... the OG of mask wearing.

I absolutely love this... please stay clear of outdoors!!!

Overall, I'm going to go with the slight frowny face... so like an 8.

If this has taught us anything... it's that this really is a small world

Alcohol.  The Mystery Mousekatool is alcohol.

Olaf's Frozen 2 style recap of quarantine so far... accurate.

Please Felix... you're our only hope!!!

I'm starting to go Un Poco Loco!!!

I absolutely love Forky and I'm sure he has a lot of questions right about now...

Of course, I've saved another one of my favorites for last!  This is how I feel now that June 1st has passed and we're slowly moving into the next phase of re-opening.

I hope you enjoyed these magical Disney windows!  Part 12 of my Magical Quarantine Memes series will be coming next Friday!  Enjoy your weekend everyone!!!  °o°

Please Note: I did not make any of these memes and I don't claim ownership of the photos or the jokes.  Most of them I've seen uncredited on Facebook from other people who have shared them.  I just wanted to put them all in one spot so we might try to find some humor in a dark time when we could use a smile.

#tbt Elissa's High School Graduation

Today, I wanted to do a quick #tbt post.  Tomorrow is the four year anniversary of when Elissa graduated from high school!  It's hard to believe that it's already been four years and that she's now finished with her college education as well.

Back in 2016, I wrote a quick post when Eliot and I were out in San Jose, California with his family celebrating Elissa's high school graduation.  I'd scheduled it to post ahead of time, so it didn't include anything from her actual graduation ceremony.  So today, I thought I'd share a few photos from the actual graduation day.

That morning, we arrived early so we'd get good seats.  Then, we attended the ceremony where we watched Elissa and her classmates get their diplomas.

After the ceremony concluded, there was a reception outside in the courtyard.  We mingled with everyone, ate some yummy food and took plenty of photos.

As you can see, Eliot and I wore Disney inspired outfits.  He wanted to wear his Pixar Hawaiian shirt, while I opted for a more subtle Mickey Mouse dress.  (You can see the pink Mickeys better in the sunlight photos!)

We took a few family pictures as well.  Yes, Eliot's Dad Rick has half his head, half his mustache and half his beard shaved.  2016 was the year the Sharks made it to the Stanley Cup Finals and Elissa's Graduation was right in the middle of the finals.  (In fact, we had been to Game 3 of the finals the night before this.)  Rick swore if they ever made the Stanley Cup Finals, that he'd shave half of his head as well as his usual half & half playoff beard.  He made good on his promise and everyone loved it!

Unfortunately, we don't have any photos from this year.  Like the rest of the Class of 2020, the University of New England had to alter their commencement plans.  As of right now, the actual ceremony has been postponed and there will be a virtual event instead.  Hopefully, at some point, the school will be able to welcome the Class of 2020 back to have an actual, in person ceremony.  For now, Eliot and I are celebrating Elissa's accomplishments from afar and remembering back to when we were all able to celebrate her high school graduation ceremony together.

Congratulations Elissa!  We're so proud of you!!!  °o°

Blackout Tuesday

Today is Blackout Tuesday.

I debated if I should even post about it, but after some consideration, I decided that by not posting anything, I'm not acknowledging it here on my blog.  I've already posted on my personal Facebook account, both Happily Ever Hatter's Instagram and Facebook, and my blog's Facebook and Instagram.  But, that didn't feel like enough, so here I am.

If you've seen a sea of black photos posted on social media today, you're probably aware that it's for Blackout Tuesday.  But you might not know the meaning behind it.

To my knowledge, the initiative was started by two black women who are music industry leaders, Jamila Thomas and Brianna Agyemang.  The movement was meant to pause business as usual in the music industry for today.  The music industry has capitalized off of black artists and at the same time benefitted from white supremacy.  It was originally promoted as a day to put a pause on your "regular" social media posts (vacation, food, etc.) under the original hashtag #TheShowMustBePaused.

That initiative has taken on a life of it's own and turned into a social media movement to use today to reflect on our own thoughts and actions and to pause and "mute" our own voices in order to amplify black voices.  Most importantly, it's a day for those of us who will never fully understand the struggles black people face, to stop and to listen.

Sadly, many people have been using the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter accompanying their Blackout Tuesday posts and that's flooded Instagram with black images on the hashtag.  This is in fact, doing the very thing we're trying to prevent by unintentionally silencing the Black Lives Matter protest organizers.  If you're going to join the initiative and post something online today, please use the hashtag #BlackoutTuesday instead.

Be well friends.  Sending you all love.  For the rest of today, I'll be reflecting and learning about what I can do to make the world a better place.  °o°

Dad's Birthday

It's another special day as today is my Dad's birthday!  It's also another day that we're celebrating from afar.  We don't usually see Daddy on his birthday anyways; we tend to group his birthday and Father's Day celebration into one.  However, with everything going on with the coronavirus, it feels like the distance is so much farther right now.

Even though we're still keeping our distance, I'm so happy to celebrate this special occasion!  My Dad is so special.  He's always there to help us with projects around our house.  He makes us laugh with his remarks.  He has the biggest heart and would do anything for his family.  He's also still a kid at heart.  (I always joke that if Dad goes missing at Disney we should look for the nearest popcorn stand or light up toy cart!)

I still have a few of the cake in a mug packs that I broke into on my half birthday (yum), so I'll be breaking one out tonight in Dad's honor!  The Funfetti cake and frosting is really delicious... plus, he'd be happy that it's not chocolate anyways!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!  I love you and hope that you have a magical day!!!  °o°
