Retiring My Calendars

Happy February!  We're already one month into 2021 and I have a feeling this year is going to keep rushing by.  Eliot and I have been keeping busy this winter.  I'm hoping to make a lot of headway on the house while we're stuck inside.  It's been really cold the past week and we're going to have a huge snowstorm today and tomorrow.  It makes sense to get projects done now so we can enjoy the spring and summer outside!

I'm excited to begin another month with another fresh start.  The first day of the month is usually be posting my free printable monthly calendar.  Unfortunately, last year I wasn't able to make and post them as I lost the laptop that I'd created them on.  Since then I've been struggling to figure out how to fix my calendar conundrum.  And I've tried... but at this point, I've pretty much run out of options.

Eliot thought he had a copy of the software that I could use to fix the design using his laptop, but he can't find it.  We've been going through a lot of stuff that we've had packed away since we moved into our house, but he still hasn't come across it.

My last ditch effort was attempting to digitally copy and paste a calendar together using the ones that I've made in the past.  That was a tragic attempt.  I thought I was going to be ok since I was finding most of the templates I needed, but then I wasn't able to get my copy and pasting idea to work.  Without my software, I'm like a fish out of water.

Thus, I am retiring my printable calendars for the foreseeable future.

I absolutely hate disappointing people, but I need to let this go for now in order to stop disappointing myself.  I will be updating the email on my blog to reflect that I'm no longer offering the calendars.  I haven't opened my email up in months... and I'm still ashamed to admit that.  For my own mental health, I've just avoided it.  This will be better.  I feel good about having an automated email that reflects the current status of them.  Plus, it will give people looking for my calendars closure.

If something changes, you'll be the first to know.  I do plan on making my calendars again... eventually.  One of the businesses Eliot and I are pursuing will require me to have the software I use to make them.  First, we need to get some things lined up in order to assure we will be able to afford it.  Some software is pricy, so we have to make sure we'll get back our investment in it.  I'm not going to put a time limit on getting the software or making the calendars.  But, I'm confident it will happen at some point.

Once I'm able to make the calendars, you can bet that I'll be making calendars for 2022, 2023, 2024 and probably 2025 while I'm at it.  It's so much easier to have them already made ahead of time.  And who knows, maybe I'll be able to make them bigger and better than ever when they do finally make their return here on my blog!  °o°
