It's Christmas in July!!! I can't believe that Christmas is only 5 months away!!!
The past few weeks, Eliot and I have been deep into the holiday spirit. Lately, we've had the Hallmark Channel on pretty much all the time. There are so many holiday movies that I love to watch, and they're perfect to listen to in the background while we're cleaning or working on orders. Plus, they always have a festive, happy ending!
We are also starting to switch gears to creating new holiday designs for both of our businesses. I have a whole bunch of holiday designs that I'd like to make, and we always run out of time. Eliot will be starting to make some of those soon! I'm really excited to add a few more to our shop! (Santa Orange Bird is a design from last year but we finally just finished his sample a few weeks ago! Isn't he super cute?)
I also want to make time to enjoy the holiday season; it always goes by so fast! I have really enjoyed the idea of a summer bucket list- so I might have gotten a little bit of a head start on some holiday bucket list ideas...
In addition to that, I'd really like to have some of the house decorated this year... so that's also a goal. We always seem to run out of time, so we're probably going to be those crazy people jumping right from Halloween to Christmas, but it is what it is. Eliot and I have quite a holiday decor collection. Most of it is away in storage, but we can get to most of our inflatables. I might try to get a few things up around the house too!
It's safe to say that I'm looking forward to the holidays! But I also don't want to chase away my summer and fall. I'm sure the holiday season will be here before we know it!
For now, Eliot and I are content to be enjoying the warm summer weather, cool air conditioning, Hallmark Christmas movies and the colorful rainbow glow of our magical Christmas tree as it lights up the living room.
