Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Right about now, my family and I are settling in to watch the annual Christmas morning Disney special on ABC.  We're also probably eating our Mickey waffles as part of our new Christmas morning tradition that Eliot and I started last year.

Eliot, Jeremy and I will have waited at the top of the stairs until we're told that it's ok to come down.  We will catch our first glimpse at what Santa brought us.  The stockings will be emptied upon the living room floor.  There will be wrapping paper all over the place.  Smiles will be had.  Tears will probably be shed.  Laughter will ring out.  I'm sure it will be another spectacular Christmas in the Brown household.

This year, we have so many things to be thankful for, but what I'm most excited about is being able to hug my Nana and parents this year.  It doesn't cost a thing, but it's the greatest gift we could all receive.  After having to stay socially distant and masked up last year for my Mom and Nana's safety, I am so grateful that this year we have been vaccinated, and we're also all boostered up now too.  While the threat still remains, we all have a bit of relief, as well as the gift of science on our side.

These past two years haven't been easy on anyone, and I know that we're not out of the woods yet.  But Christmas reminds us all what truly matters in life.

I hope wherever you are, whatever you're doing today, that you have a wonderful day filled with family, love, laughter and smiles too.

Merry Christmas!!!  °o°
