#tbt 2010 Christmas Decor

Today, I'm popping in for another quick Throwback Thursday!  It's the final edition of my 2010 decoration posts!  You can read my Halloween, Thanksgiving and Hanukkah decor posts at those links.  Christmas is my all time favorite holiday and you can see from all of these photos- I've collected a lot of decorations for it.  (You can only imagine how much more Eliot and I accumulated in the past 11 years...)

Like our other tours, we're going to start off with the living room.

I had a lot of fun with the couch.  I put Eliot's Stitch and Eeyore plushes on the back of the couch.  Then, I put our Grumpy and Tinker Bell Santa hats on the pillows.

The chair and a half had Mickey and Minnie as well as my Build-A-Bear moose.

Here's a better view facing our porch.  I put another Santa had on the top of our Eiffel Tower light.  In the windows, you can see gel clings and garland over the window and doorway.  I also put Christmas lights up on our porch railing and over the window.

Here's Eliot's side table with his smaller Eeyore plushies.

My side table had a peppermint theme with a few candles and a Tigger Jeremy got me.

Here's a view from our dining room looking at the living room and stairs.

Here's another view from that same place put looking over towards our living room storage and the entry way.

Here's another view of our storage.  Like with the previous holidays, I put plush on the DVD storage.  It's hard to see, but the little village pieces are my Toontown Village.

I also added a few plush to our television stand.

Next on our apartment tour, we're making a quick stop in the dining room.  I took these photos to show our window clings and garlands over the windows.

Honestly, I didn't take any other dining room photos because it was mostly filled with the containers all of our Christmas decor was stored in.

However, we did use the dining room to tuck our Christmas tree in between it and the kitchen.  This was the first time that Eliot and I decorated a Christmas tree together!  We carefully unpacked all of the ornaments that I've collected through the years and put them on our tree.

Eliot and I also added the ornaments that we had bought since we started dating.  We try to buy ornaments at all of the places we visit.

It's been a while since Eliot and I took out all of our ornaments.  We've had our tree set up for a few years straight, but it hasn't had any of our ornaments on it.  I'm hoping that we can take them all out and organize them sometime sooner than later!

On this tour, we're skipping the kitchen.  I did decorate it, but for some reason I didn't post any of those photos to my Facebook account.  (That's where I've been grabbing these photos from.)  You aren't missing much... I'm pretty sure it was more towels, pot holders and some window clings.  However, I did add some light up garlands above the cupboards.  (You can see them in the photo below.)  I also put a bunch of decorations on our counter top.  I have a little nativity from Walmart, Cinderella's Castle and a musical dancing Tigger.  I also hung some giant Christmas lights from the ceiling.

Instead, we'll move our tour to our entryway.  I had so much fun decorating it for Christmas.  I still look back and love how I utilized the stairs and the loft wall.

Here's a closer look at the bookcase and my Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer display.

I hung our Mickey wreath advent calendar on our master bedroom door.

I forgot that I made this wreath with pink decorations that I bought at the craft store.

I took some of our extra plushies and tucked them by my rocking chair.

This was the rocking chair I had when I was a kid.  I brought it down to our apartment from my parents' house and cleaned it all up!  It's perfect to put plushies in!

Speaking of plush, Eliot and I bought these Christmas door greeters of Tigger and Eeyore.  I tucked them between the base of the stairs of Eliot's side table.

Here's a view looking at our living room from the entry way.

This is the same view, but focusing on the stairs up to the loft.

Here's a closer view of the Disney street lantern.  I really love this thing!!!

I put all of my winter and Christmas Tigger plushies on the stairs to the loft.

Here's a view of the second floor and loft from the living room and dining room.

I loved hanging our stockings on the stair railing.  Decorating the railing was the best part of having these stairs exposed to our living room.  I miss having a long stair railing!

Here are the rest of the stockings on the lower section of the railing.

Eliot bought me these little reindeer plushies the year before this.  He had found them when he was in California on a ski trip.  I have all eight of Santa's reindeer and Rudolph!  Then, I found a Santa that fit right in... he just needs a sleigh!

And there you have it!  I love these photos so much!  I can't wait to get all of our Christmas decor out of storage.  I love all of my little plushies and our stockings.  It's clear that decorating for Christmas is definitely one of my favorite things to do!  °o°
