Happy Wednesday! I wasn't planning to post today, but I wanted to pop in for a quick visit because the past few days have been a flurry of planning for our big WDW trip.
There are only 80 days until Eliot and I are flying down to Florida for our epic two week Walt Disney World vacation. We are currently up to our eyeballs in getting orders finished, laundry cleaned and suitcases packed for our quick weekend trip out to San Jose... but the reality is that our trip to Disney will be here before we know it!
Thus, Eliot and I have both taken a small step back the past few days to make sure that we're moving in the right direction for planning that trip!
As of today, all of our Disney tickets are officially booked! That's a huge relief. Our park reservations for New Year's Eve at the Magic Kingdom are also complete. (That's really the only day that I was worried would suddenly become full.) We still have to sort out our 10 day tickets, but since they're park hoppers, I'm not as worried. Plus, that might give us something to do while we're traveling out to California tomorrow.
The other big news is that we got tickets to the Disney After Hours event at the Magic Kingdom on Monday, January 9th! It's the first night of the event at MK. Basically, there's limited capacity so you can enjoy the rides with shorter lines... and they offer you free ice cream, popcorn, and beverages that are included in your ticket price.
Eliot and I didn't have any plans to go since we were going to do a full day at Disney that day. Plus, the tickets were more than we wanted to pay after already purchasing 10 day tickets to the parks for that week. However, Eliot's sister Sara really wanted to go since she's not going to be in Florida as long as we are. She offered to buy event tickets for Eliot, me, and her parents as a gift! (Thank you Sara!!!)
Eliot and have changed our plans a little since we've decided not to use a park day that Monday when we also have tickets for the night event. The event is from 10:00 PM-1:00 AM, but you can get into the park at 7:00 with your event ticket. Our new plan is to find something else to do during the day, and to go into the Magic Kingdom right at 7:00 PM! And now we can use that other Disney park day on another day of our trip!
And now we're getting 12 days of Walt Disney World Parks!!! Woo!!!
As you can see, Eliot and I are kind of burning the candle at every end possible with all of these trips and everything else that we're working on... but it feels good. This is the first time that I've felt like things are "normal" since before the pandemic. We are back to planning trips, living life to the fullest and I'm happy as a clam. °o°
