World Health Day
Today is World Health Day and I can't think of a better time for everyone to stop and recognize all of the nurses, doctors and healthcare professionals. Not all heroes wear capes and that's certainly the case right now. I've seen stories of many nurses and doctors leaving their families to self-quarantine so they can care for those infected with coronavirus. They have barely slept, haven't seen their loved ones in days, and they're doing all of this without the proper equipment to keep themselves safe. You are the front line against this disease and all of your sacrifices don't go unnoticed. Thank you for working to keep us well and for risking your own health and safety to care for us.
Disney shared a post earlier today that made me tear up a little when I saw it. Disney Parks and locations across the world took photos to support our health heroes. It was especially emotional and moving for me to see the places I've stood in abandoned, but still sending love and magic to out to everyone. These are a few of the photos.
They included photos from Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. There was also a picture with the Walt and Mickey suitcase partners statue from California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort.
The were displays of "Merci" at Disneyland Paris and "Mahalo" at Aulani in Hawaii.
Castaway Cay displayed a message written in flip flops in front of Mount Rustmore.
The Disney Store in New York City's Times Square also had a thank you message.
There were a few more pictures from different Disney locations around the world. You can see the rest of them in the Disney Parks Blog post here.
Thank you to all of the healthcare professionals out there. We are blessed to have you looking out for all of us. I am so grateful for you and I'm praying for your safety. °o°
