Celebrating of 100 Years of Wonder

Today is the last day of the 2022 D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA.  I'm sure at this point, we're absolutely exhausted from all of the stuff we've been doing the past few days.

I wanted to do one more post in honor of this weekend though.  The 2022 D23 Expo is the official kick off to Disney's 100 Years of Wonder celebration for the Walt Disney Company.  The company was founded in 1923, thus next year is the big centennial.

Before I go any further, I want to add a disclaimer that I'm actually writing this post a week and a half earlier than the date it's posting, so by now, I suspect that there will more information about it... especially with today being the last day of the expo and all that.  But while I'm actually writing this leading up to the big event, not much is known.

We've seen the official logo... and that's pretty much the only official thing I've found.

I spent a bit of time trying to hunt down information about plans for the celebration, but all I found were rumors.... rumors about a possible new nighttime show.  Rumors about a Disney 100 Lego set being released in 2023.  And I also found plenty of speculation from different 'unofficial' Disney news sites, but nothing official.

At the time I'm writing this, the only other known thing is that Disney will be releasing a book called "The Story of Disney 100 Years of Wonder" in March.

I suspect that the higher ups at Disney will have announced a lot of their Disney 100 plans this weekend at the Expo.  Like many other fans, I look forward to finding out what the company plans to do to mark it's centennial.  Hopefully, it will be a celebration worthy of the 100 years of magic that the Walt Disney Company has given us.  °o°
